5:18 pm
know, it doesn't take much in the way of rainfall to slow down the commute out there. the slightly larger picture, we put this in motion on radar to give you an idea, a small patch of rain moving through over the next hour, or hour and a half or so. again very light, movement to the east and northeast at about 15-20 miles per hour, maybe up to 25, as this comes across. but i think we'll see more of this potentially this evening. and certainly overnight tonight. again, this isn't real heavy stuff coming up from the south. but again, we do have a lot of it back down here. you see how this moisture feed just keeps coming up from the deep south. and that will be the trend over the next 24-36 hours. it looks like this will linger with us right on through the early parts of wednesday. just so you know. and then as we move into the evening hours, temperatures right now are falling down into the lower 70s. the upper 60s for some. that trend will continue,
5:19 pm
especially when the rain moves through the area. so i'm going to go ahead and put rain in the forecast -- showers i should say, in the forecast, through the evening. this doesn't mean everybody gets wet or it is rain the whole time, but i think any given point around here this evening there will be a good chance for showers happening and you see there temperatures will be dropping into the 60s, even a little cooler than that out in the suburbs. so with that in mind, we have rain for the next probably 36 hours or so now but it does get better after that. full forecast coming up, shawn. >> the sun always comes out. >> everybody needs to go out and make sure their car windows are rolled up. but do windows go like this any more? maybe. coming up here, how a tiny spider brought a $50 million road construction to a screeching halt. >> we have our goggles all set. we may be hours from history at
